Right now, in a multi-page PDF, if I want to move a block of heading text (or illustration) that is on say page 2 to a spot on page 3, it appears that I need to cut it from the first page and paste (then position) it on the other page.
Does Acrobat DC allow you to move a block of text (or image) across a page break more efficiently? I'm thinking similar to how Word allows you to just grab something and drag it across to another page in one motion.
I just found this in the User Guide: "Edits are confined to the page. You cannot drag a text block to another page, or move or rotate individual characters or words within a text box. However, you can copy text boxes and paste them on another page."
So my current method is the only method that works within Acrobat as it seems that each page is its own independent object. To do what I wanted means I need to convert to Word retaining page layout (and wait a long time), edit, and re-PDF.
Yes convert to Word. Editing in PDF is a desperate last resort and often frustrating or impossible. Because PDFs are not at all like Word documents.
