Can you explain exact what error you are seeing, and what you are trying to do when you receive the error?
Just saying it's not working doesn't give enough information for anyone here to be able to help you.
What version on which OS do you use?
How do you try to import what kind of file type into InDesign?
I use InDesign cc I am wasting my time for searching to solve my problem
The problem that we are in the process to design the book to graduate from the Department of Fashion Design has conditioned us to use InDesign in the production of this book, which is PDF A3 but InDesign does not accept that opens my designs in order to put them in the book I ask you to provide me with information . how to import my files JPE or PDF into InDesign to what is the formula
i tried already to formula my files by INDD but not work
I am very new user for InDesign
thanks for your caring
If you want to assemble existing PDF pages into an InDesign document, the the process would be to use File > New to create an A3-sized InDesign document with the appropriate number of pages, and then use File > Place to put the PDF and JPG images onto the pages.
When you state the page size is A3, do you mean each page is A3 or is it two A4 facing pages?
How many pages in your book?
(Have you been using the InDesign Book feature? You only use this feature to collate existing InDesign documents.)
I will tell what I am doing first open new file document then I choice numbers of pages and size and sure for print all is ok I got the pages then I want to start my job to add my collection to pages I get window say not able
where is the wrong??
You state you are creating a new document in InDesign with Print as the intent.
What size page have you selected and how many pages (though you can change the number of pages later)?
Presumably you have number of PDFs created in another program and you are placing them one to each page, one at a time, in InDesign. Is that correct?
Please supply as much information as possible.
The screenshot shows that you are using File > Open for a jpg, which will not work.
As others have told you, you must use File > Place for jpgs and pdfs.
Indesign can only open .indd files.
