So basically my company are forever coming up with ideas on how to be more cost effective, so we've came up with the idea of printing A4 booklets on to SRA3 paper to then be trimmed down into size. Can someone please help me with making this possible?
We need to print two copies of the A4 booklets to be folded down into A5 on to SRA3 paper.. This also needs to be duplexed.
I am also using a Mac.
Thank you in advance!
There is no "fast" way to do this in ID that I know. When I need to do a project like this (about once a year), I use Print Booklet or one of the various scripts to impose a single booklet and create a PDF(script is faster for Mac, but PC still has the PDF virtual printer and saves a step). Next I use Scott Zanelli's fabulous multipage placer script (InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Zanelli Releases MultiPageImporter for Importing both PDF and INDD Files) and run it twice to put the booklet pages two-up on the larger sheet.
