can you try again? This should have been only a temporary problem.
Please let us know if you still have problems sharing.
I tried again and got the same error. I even restarted the application, but that didn't fix it either.
Thanks for letting us know Trevor,
we will look into this. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Trevor, could you PM me your Adobe ID? The ID may help searching for the root cause of your issue.
I just tried opening Creative Cloud to verify the ID and i'm realizing now it won't open. So i believe my issues goes beyond just the error message.
I looked online and it seems the CC application not opening is an issue that happens to a fair amount of people, any idea where to go from there?
Also When i tried sending the prototype this morning it no longer tries to send and instead gives an error: "This service is unavailable right now (error 1001). Check our system status page for known issues."

If Creative Cloud app doesn't open then you'll have to clean your CC installation. There is a helper app to do that:
After you have successfully cleaned your installation you need to login in the CC app. Then you should be able to use the sharing feature in XD. Hope this helps.
I fixed the Creative Cloud sign in issue, but am still getting Error 45:
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I get the message a little bit into the process of sharing. I'll click the share icon in the top right corner of Xd, then click the create Link button. A progress circle appears and then I get the error. From time to time the circle will start to fill in a little bit, but never more than an eighth of an inch or so.
I've tried sharing multiple files ranging from 1.4mb to 1.8mb ranging from 8 Art boards to 21 and none work.
Sorry for that Trevor, how frustrating. It seems clear that the issue is not related to the content you are sharing. To me it sounds like you are able to push the prototype to the cloud, but the the subsequent step of creating a public link fails.
Just to make sure: Are you using the latest Xd release 0.5.2.29? Please confirm the build number in the About-box. Thanks.
It was released this week. Regardless of your build, you should be able to share. But you should still use the latest.
Did you restart Xd after resolving your login issue withe Creative Cloud app? In case you didn't this may resolve the issue.
In case you are on the latest build and a restart of Xd doesn't help we can explore the option of setting up a debugging session. Your error scenario seems to be a nasty edge case that I would like to understand better. Also I asked for you Adobe ID earlier. If possible please send me a private message with your Adobe ID, I may be able to dig into log files with that.
Thanks for your patience.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't believe I'm interacting with the cloud at this point. My file is stored locally on my machine, I thought the share process would upload it, but maybe thats not the case.
Is there a location I should be storing the file to make it shareable?
You can store your file anywhere on your disk and there is no room for you to do something wrong wrt to where to store the file.
Error 45 is thrown during the step to make an uploaded prototype public.
However, your are right that most of the data that makes up the prototype has not been uploaded at this point, but that's an implementation detail wrt how the publishing process is implemented.
Error 45 is a clear indicator for which part of the sharing process fails. But I can tell that the upload is not the issue, because a small amount of data has been uploaded at this point. Hence I can tell that pushing data to the cloud is not the problem, but it is indeed the subsequent publishing step.
Trevor, did you validate your build number? And could you confirm that you restarted Xd after resolving the CC login issue?
Further, assuming you used the cleaner script, did you run all steps of the cleaner script or just a subset. Sorry for asking for so much detail, but it really helps me to understand what is happening.
Thanks again, and sorry for the trouble.
Hey I just validated that I am on the latest release.
And i'm getting the 45 error almost immediately, which makes me think its not actually uploading anything. Does the blue ring around the circle stand for uploading the document to the cloud or for the sharing process.
As for the cleaner script, I didn't run anything like that, where would i find it to run it? This is also a fresh install so that may not be needed.
A fresh install would not fix an incorrect log in state of your machine (which seems to be your problem). Here are the steps and download location for the tool:
Here the steps:
- Backup files synched with Creative Cloud (If you use that feature)
- Download the tool from that link above (Under "Run the CC Cleaner Tool for Mac OS” step 6)
- Start the Cleaner Tool and select to remove Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop, Fix Host File, Adobe ID Credentials and Adobe Experience Design (Preview)
- Install Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop
- In the Creative Cloud Desktop app: Login and install Adobe Experience Design (Preview) again
- Try to share
Please let me know if this worked, so sorry it hasn't been working for you yet!

Trevor, I was assuming you had run the script because you had mentioned you had resolved a CC app login issues. It would be great if you could run that cleaner script then.
Wrt to your doubt wether the failure is related to uploading, at the point the sharing process fails for you a small amount of data has already been uploaded.
I like that you seem to have an engineering mind set and I understand why you are in doubt wether any data is actually sent.
If you monitor your network traffic you could see a small amount of data on the network before you see the error. Not asking you to check, just trying to give you a satisfactory answer.
But in order to resolve your problem the cleaner script should be the next stop. If that doesn't help I will see that we can do a debugging session.
Please let me know wether the cleaner script helps.

Hey! I found my answer. Looks like there wasn't a problem with my install at all, but rather than the network I'm working through. Apparently sharing to CC has been blocked on the firewall in our office due to HIPPA and PHI compliance issues.
Thanks for all your help guys! Sorry to have sent you on a wild goose chase helping me track down the issue. It took IT a few days to get a reply back to me as a follow up to the CC issue.
Thanks for the update, glad you figured it out! Keep us posted about any issues you may find in the future.
