Running InDesign CS5 on Mac OSX 10.10.5
I have two documents open. One of them does not display the margin and bleed lines, the other does.
I am in Normal viewing mode looking at both documents. I have switched back and forth with Preview several times...no change.
The problem file has been working up until a few hours ago.
I tried exporting as an idml file and re opening as indd. Same result.
What Gives? Any thoughts?
The ONLY time I have ever seen that phenomenon was when I started a new document using the new document dialog box, and I had the PREVIEW switch turned on. In 1 out of 3 tries, the margin and column guides would be hiding, and there was no turning them back on. I began to avoid that PREVIEW switch, and I never saw the problem again. Just my observations from here, tho.
Thanks for your reply. Right now I am wanting to get them back on in this particular document. It had them.
The only thing I can think of doing now is to copy and paste into a new document and see what turns them off.
I have now copied and pasted into a new file and all is well. Thanks
