Hi GG_Dynamix, [ Mod: full name removed and replaced with user name ]
Thanks for the report.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused at your end.
We would require a few more details.
1. Version of OS X Macintosh installed on your system.
2. Complete dot version of Acrobat DC installed on your system.
3. Is your Acrobat DC updated to the latest release?
You are right for the fact that a similar issue was reported previously and was fixed at our end last year itself.
And we would try our best to resolve your issue as well.
thanks for you reply, we are running Mac OS 10.11.4 currently across 6 Macs, but the problem persisted across all versions of El Capitan, also Yosemite and Mavericks. I am running Acrobat DC 2015 (Continuous) 2015.10.20056 - details:
I have tried all versions of DC since its release and this important feature has not functioned. If you look at other threads on Adobe Forums, such as this one: "ruler guides, not visible until release mouse button" -prepsdk1 21/04/2015 4:58 AM, You will see this has not been fixed as yet for us users. I'm not sure how it was fixed your end - did you have a special build internally at Adobe? I don't think it made it out the door to the end users as yet.
A Bug# 4021387 has already been logged for this and the engineering team is looking into it.
We are experiencing the same problem too, that ruler guides are not visible when dragged onto the document.
It appears on 20 installations.
We are using:
Acobat Pro DC 2015.017.20050 on
Mac OS X 10.11.6
same here! 2017 and still a problem
This bug was logged back in 2015! Any chance of a resolution of what is seemingly a simple bug, but affects we end users greatly in doing our job efficiently and accurately - Its really quite a long time to wait, please It would be great to have fixed this century :-)

Acrobat DC update addressing this issue is now available. This update will be automatically applied to all Acrobat and Reader users in the coming days. You may also update to the latest release by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.
Release notes for today's release are here: 17.012.20093 Planned update, August 8, 2017 — Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes
Please try it out an let us know your feedback.
April 2018 and still not fixed.
Actually, it is fixed (just verified with my copy of Acrobat Pro DC on a MacBook Pro). You need the latest version of Acrobat (the release notes are for version 17.012.20093, which is an update to the "Continuous" or subscription version - unfortunately the link does not work, here is one that hopefully works: 17.012.20093 Planned update, August 8, 2017 — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products).
I have the Creative cloud install and they do not offer any upgrades. I should be up to date no?
Based on what I know about CC, yes, you should be up to date. In Acrobat, go to the Help menu and select "Check for updates" - does that kick off the update to the latest version? Which version of Acobat do you have? You can find the version number on the "About" screen.
I think I had an old version... it wasn't the number you listed.
I have access to an admin concole from my company so i uninstalled my version because CC fails to update. I downloaded a new version. I'll see how it goes
Ah.. now the 2018 version is installed and it works indeed. Why didn't CC updated my version all this time I have no idea!
