I have turned off Windows 10 Defender and Virus Protection and have cleaned the Temp folder but still receive the error 49 update message. Can you please help? Thanks.-Doug

so that was no help at all. I'm having the same problem and it's to the point that I'm going to take my computer in to get the geek squad to figure it out. I'm pissed that I've never had this problem before so I'm thinking that it's not the clients problem but a problem within Adobe. I hope that this is not going to be a regular issue. No user should have to jump through these kind of hoops just to update any software. I'm wondering if there is some kind of malware in the upgrade that is setting off the virus software or windows firewall.
