A long story short is that the love triangle of software, hardware and operating systems has caught up to my outdated scenario. The bottom line is that my old NITIX file server system (needed at a time before MAC & PC's were so compatible) does not function well with the new Mac OS X Capitan. Things have come to a crawl. I am researching converting to OS X Server to make them more compatible.
Here's my problem. We are a publication with hundreds, if not thousands of Indesign files with thousands of linked images in our Indesign files. Is there a solution for creating the new server that will not create a linked image nightmare?
