    camera actionscript slowdown

      hi,
      i wrote some actionscript that grabs and draws video to the screen
      ;

      //connect to the media server
      ConnectToMediaServer = function()
      {
      nc.connect("rtmp://127.0.0.1/livecast");

      }

      //broadcast the video on the network
      BroadcastVideo = function()
      {
      ns = new NetStream(nc);
      mycam = Camera.get();
      mycam.setMode(640, 480, 30);
      myCamera.setQuality(0,100);
      //mymic = Microphone.get();
      //mymic.setRate(11);
      ns.attachVideo(mycam);
      //ns.attachAudio(mymic);
      myvid.attachVideo(mycam);
      ns.publish("robotCameraStream", "live");
      myvid._visible = false;

      }

      //create a net connection object
      nc = new NetConnection();
      //connect to the flash media server
      ConnectToMediaServer();
      //start publishing the camera video stream
      BroadcastVideo();

      but my separate animation running in the same window (behind the camera video component) slows down
      does anyone know how to have 30 fps video without slowing down the rest of the flash animation?

      thanks to anyone with help,
