It’s been a little time since I last opened AE, and now I’m running into an error that prevents me for working on anything. I’m importing AI files as comps, with each object in layer. Usually, I then « create layers from vector layers » so I can use the objects created on AI as AE shapes.
Except this message appears instead:
After Effects error: Could not create outlines. Unsupported file type.

I don’t know what to do.
I’m using the latest AE and AI from the Creative Cloud. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling AE, and saving my AI in older CS6 versions. It’s not working better.
Does someone know how to fix this?
Without knowing anything about your AI stuff we can't tell you much. You simply could have used some feature that causes your artwork to be rasterized as pixels.
