I'm creating tables with hyperlinks in Excel and then creating PDF's of them. Then I'm taking those PDF's and importing them into InDesign CC 2015. When I PDF the final InDesign file I would like to be able to retain the original hyperlinks if possible so I don't have to create the hyperlinks twice. Any help would be appreciated.
No. Placed PDFs retain their artwork only. No interactivity.
Thanks Bob, I appreciate your help.
Are the hyperlinks URL links? (www.google.com) If yes, and depending on the user's Acrobat preference setting, the URL will work without creating a link. The Acrobat/Reader pref is "Create links from URLs" and this preference is turned on by default.
You can place the excel file into Indesign, this will retain links.
