Now I've been reading blogs all day and seem to come up with same advise without solving my problem.
My problem is not merging my text file in to the document, and I can drop my master pages down over the merged
pages, my problem is I need space for a three hole punch on the right of my left page and on the left of my right side
page. no matter what I do, I can not get my right side page to have the gutter on the left.
How do you get the right side page to leave a gutter on the left side? see my sample pages.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
This might work...
Merge to a non-facing file with symmetrical pages, narrower than your final page size with the 3-hole punch.
Create a new, facing pages file the correct width for the punched pages, but with symmetrical margins, set to the size of the previously merged pages, then use the script at InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Zanelli Releases MultiPageImporter for Importing both PDF and INDD Files to place the pages from the merged file into the new file.
Enable Layout Adjustment, then change the margins on the master pages and the pages should adjust to give you the wider inside margin.
I'll give that a try, thanks.
