    Smart Reflow probs

    howeskris1

      Hello,

I have a single page document – with non-facing pages.

When I place a word document into the text frame it adds pages (using the Smart reflow) however, they're added as spread pages – alongside the first page (see attached).

All I want is for the new pages to be added beneath – so stacked vertically.

Is there a way to do this?

Ive tried all options in prefs (Add pages to: End of story /  End of section /  End of document.

      Cheers!

You are looking at the wrong spot.

Your screen capture is indicating the two brackets around the page number(s) like that:

          [3-11]

That's the reason why InDesign is adding pages to th spread instaed of creating new spreads.

The key elements here are the options you can find for pages in the Pages panel:

Set: "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle"

          Set: "Allow Spreads to Shuffle"

for all the spreads in the doument.

          From my German InDesign:

          Shuffle options OFF

          Shuffle options ON
