    auto import of classes bug

    funkDaddyFlash
      Flex is importing classes that I don't want it to.

      I'm declaring this in a Script block:
      private var _stepText:String = "Step Off";

      as soon as I type the : after _stepText, it imports mx.controls.Text

      I imagine it is going off the Text part of the variable name. Is there a way to turn this off or customize what suffizes it guesses at? We use a lot of variables with Text on the end of them, which do NOT represent Text controls, but instead strings used as text somewhere. I like the auto import, but the suffix reading seems to be a little buggy or too generalized.

          This is indeed a bug, and we do plan on fixing it before release.

          Thanks -Mike
