How do you convert from Word to PDF? There are a number of different ways, and only some of them utilize Adobe's PDF technology.
In general, if you get the same result when you print to a "normal" printer as you see in your PDF file, then the problem is on Word's side, and there is nothing we can do to fix that. You would have to talk to Microsoft's customer service, or ask in a Microsoft specific forum. If it's something that only gets triggered when producing a PDF file using Acrobat's PDF generator, then we may be able to help you debug the problem, and potentially come up with a solution.
One thing you an try is to copy & paste the contents of your document into a new Word document. Does that still give you the extra text box?
Thanks for the quick response. Sadly I tried what you suggested (paste
into new Word file) and I still got the unwanted text box. I have
already spent time with Microsoft on this and they assured me that the
problem was with Adobe. I just need it fixed. Very frustrating. Hope
you have another suggestion.
Again, how exactly are you converting from Word to PDF?
In Word under the "file" tab drop down: Save as Adobe PDF
Can you please try to use the Microsoft converter to see if that does a different job. Depending on which version of Word you have, this function will be either found as File>Save As, and then change the output format to PDF, or File>Export, and then pick Create PDF/XPS Document, followed by chaining the file type to PDF.
Does that happen with all Word files you convert to PDF? Would you be able to share your Word and resulting PDF file?
It only happens with this particular file. I will send both of them to
you via Adobe send.
I tried it your alternative way and got the same result. I will send
you the 2 files via Adobe send because they are too big for charter to
handle. What email address should I use?TK
If the problem also occurs with Microsoft's own PDF generator, then there is nothing I can do: You need somebody with more Word experience to tell you what's wrong with the Word document. I know that oftentimes removing any headers of footers and recreating them resolves formatting issues.
thanks for trying
