How do you know it is LR that is cropping the edges?
What aspect ratio is the camera set to?
What is the native ratio of the sensor in your camera.
What happens when you use the Crop Tool in the Develop module. Do you see the cropped edges in gray?
What happens if you turn off the Auto Lens profiling?
Hi. Thank you for your help. To answer your questions, I think it's LR that is cropping the edges because I don't have this issue when I open the raw files in Picasa.
My camera is set to 4:3, which is the native ratio of the sensor of my camera.
The cropped edges simply don't appear when I use the Crop Tool in the Develop module. It is as if they were cut out of the photo upon import.
Nothing happens when I turn off the Auto Lens profiling.
Here's an example of what I mean. The first photo is the raw file opened in Picasa and the second photo is how LR imports it. The edges are cropped.
Thank you so much!
I have a Canon G15 and when I import my RAW files Lightroom crops the edges.
Yeah, pretty sure that LR & ACR apply lens corrections at import and there's no way to turn that off...so, you fix distortion but loose some image area. So, either crop looser of use a different raw processor. Sorry...
LR 5 didn't do this, though. I was able to import my raw files without any cropping
this issue is driving me crazy, no one knows how to fix it. if you found out any solution i really a ppreciate your information. thanks
