    Quality of imported images

I've recently been using indesign to make some magazine spreads for a uni project, I'm using the 30 day free trial and everything was going fine until yesterday. I tried to make a new spread, i created new pages but when i placed my photo onto the spread the quality was very pixelled. I had changed to quality of the display to high and the image still did not change, at first I thought it was the dpi of the photos that I was trying to use however, I then put those photos onto other existing spreads (that I had created before this problem arose) and the quality of them was fine. I have also tried placing images in which i know the quality of them is fine onto the spread and I still have the same problem. Is there something that I've accidentally clicked to make this happen? Help would be great.
