I have Adobe Lightroom 6 which I purchased as a standalone version. I have been using it for several months and it has worked fine. Now when I go to open Lightroom (either from a catalog or the program shortcut) I get a dialogue box which reads;
Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from
I have not downloaded this because I do not have a trial for Lightroom, I have the full version. Do I need the application manager anyway or how do I fix this? Thanks
Well, Application Manager actually checks your license on you start the application and it looks like some of the file is damaged for the application.
Yes, you can go head and download the same.
Let us know the outcome.
Actually, after I posted the question I got a different dialogue box when I attempted to open Lightroom asking me to sign in. I did sign in with my Adobe ID, but it then said that my trial had expired. I did not have a trial - I have the full product, but I re registered it anyway with my serial number. My catalogs still work fine but all of my presets are gone and my preferences are reset. Now Lightroom seems to be working fine.
Great, thanks for sharing the fix.
