I use a lot of plugins for audio processing on other tools and I'd like to use one or two of them with Premiere Elements. The online searches suggest that they are scanned and added when Premiere loads but they are not showing up. I've seen references to audio plugin manager but I think that only applies to Premiere Pro. I'm on a Mac and suspect I need to copy the plugins to a Premiere plugins folder, but no idea where it can be found or if this is what I should do.
You shouldn't have to copy the effects to a special folder. Premiere Elements has always picked up all of the plug-ins available on my Mac. Boris FX, for instance, install in LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/BORIS FX and load right in.
This might be an indication that these particular effects won't work in Premiere Elements.
You can try putting them in LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/ADOBE/PLUG-INS/ELEMENTS 14. But no guarantee they'll work.
Thanks for your reply. It occurs to me that my plugins are probably 64 bit. Haven't considered if Premiere Elements is 32 or 64.
I'll copy a couple of the Izotope plugins to folder and see what happens.
Premiere Elements 14 is 64 bit.
