I have built a few certificate templates in InDesign.
My client needs just a few fields editable, things like the NAME of the person receiving the certificate, the date of issue, etc.
I have made sure to make those fields just Arial typeface.
I make these text boxes editable Interactive text boxes in InDesign.
Then I export to a PDF and make sure that I am selecting to include Interactive Elements.
When I open the PDF in Acrobat, I cannot just click on the text and start editing (which is what I thought would happen).
Is there a way I can make it work that way?
Instead I have been having to do it all in Acrobat.
Which version of InDesign (it has to be CS6 upwards)?
Are you creating 'text' fields in InDesign?
Are you exporting it from InDesign as an Interactive PDF?
Are you 'reader enabling' the PDF in Acrobat Pro?
(Just some thoughts)
