    After Effects major problem

I upgraded to CC and deleted my old version.  I then tried to open a project done with the previous version of After Effects and got this error message:

      error message.jpg

Now every time I try to open my upgraded version of After Effects I get this same message and it won't open.

      Any ideas?

What old version did you have?

Did you run the new version of AE before you deleted the old one?

What exact version number of AE are you trying to run now?

What version number is your OS?

Have you tried uninstalling, running the Adobe CC Cleaner tool and reinstalling ?

In the future, to get better-looking shots of your screen, do a screenshot instead of taking a photo. Mac OSX provides an several easy ways to do it. To take a shot of just a section of your screen:

          1. Press Command-Shift-4.
          2. Move the crosshair pointer to where you want to start the screenshot.
          3. Drag to select an area.
          4. When you've selected the area you want, release your mouse or trackpad button.
          5. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop

            Close all Adobe Programs.

Quit all Adobe Processes in Activity monitor.

Launch Creative Cloud > Sign In.

Launch After Effects first and then open the project by clicking on File > Open.
