I tried to import a video file (.mp4) about 302mb into Adobe After Effects but when I try to import through File menu it says: Warning error with file [filename].
And when I tried to drag it from my location it says 'Error Could not convert unicode characters' with an error code 23 : 46. I'm using Windows 10 64-bit and I have already done deleting the preferences (ctrl+shift+alt while startup) and restarting the computer many times. I really want help because I only have less time to finish my project. Thank you.
I would transcode the video a nice intermediate codec. I like to use Quicktime movies in Photo JPEG, Animation, PNG or ProRes 422 codecs for the task.
I'm with Dave, use Adobe Media Encoder to make it into a proper production codec. CS6 is really old, so some newer files sometimes act funny on it.
