when I merge to HDR a set of photos.... sometimes Lightroom creates the merged photo and stores it in the stack of photos 9usually as the 2nd imgae in the stack) and then sometimes it files the merged phot at the VERY END of all the photos in the file....
So why the different locations????
This is controlled by the sort order of photos in Lightroom. If you want them with the photos that went into the HDR and not at the end, you would set the sort order to By File Name or By Capture Date.
I would like to have all merged files to stack at the END of the files in the stack... is this possible to do... If not, is there a way to have them save in the SAME LOCATION each time... either in the stack or at the end of the list of files...
Not directly possible, it depends on your sort order, so you could make sure the sort order is set properly before you create the HDR. There is no option you can set to determine where in the stack the photos winds up, but you can manually place it wherever in the stack you want.
Thank you.... Now... how to I change the SORT order??? cant seem to find that option... but its probably right under my nose...
Menu command View->Sort
Make sure your Toolbar is active [ T ] and change the sort in the pulldown.
Sort is available in Library not Develop so you may have to change modules before View / Sort or T / Sort are visible.
Ok... got it... thanks again to all for the help...
