LR doesn't control the font on your system. Fonts are fonts. Look in the Font folder.

LR doesn't control the font on your system. Fonts are fonts.

Not all system fonts are available to LR.

Not all fonts in LR are in the system.!!!

I have yet to fully understand fonts that Lightroom uses!

In general- Lr uses the fonts installed in your system, yes, but-

With exceptions- I think it is limited to true-type fonts?

And- I can see fonts in Lightroom that are not in my Windows "Fonts" folder!?

eg. {Bickham Script Pro}  is available as type in the LR Book module, but it is not in my Windows font folder.

and Photoshop may have installed a PS font folder, not available to LR!

To answer the OP, view the fonts in the system and make a note of fonts you favour. Font-viewer programs are helpful for this! Then try to select your favourites in LR

I can see: Lucida Handwriting, Brush Script, Freestyle Script, Mistral, ...among others that may suit cursive.

I would also welcome more comments from 'advanced' users on this topic.
