Can I uninstall Lightroom 4 to free up space? [was: Photoshop/Lightroom]

I am trying to free up space in my computer.  I am currently using lightroom 5.7 but kept lightroom 4.6 on my computer.  Can I uninstall lightroom 4.6 to free up space.  Was all the information saved when I upgraded?

          Hi stcc,

Yes, you can uninstall Lightroom 4.6 and your catalogs and images would still remain intact on the machine so you will not loose any work.

You can certainly uninstall older versions of Lightroom, but this won't free up a huge amount of space, most likely your photos are taking up a lot more space than the Lightroom program takes up. If you'd like to move the photos to a different hard drive, let us know, we can provide instructions.

If you chose to upgrade the catalog from earlier versions of Lightroom, then it's all available to LR 5.7. If you didn't upgrade the catalog to Lightroom 5.7, then some of the information is still in the earlier catalog file, and you should upgrade it to LR 5.7
