Hold down ctrl+shift+alt while opening Elements
See if that will help.
Thanks, but it is not possible to open Elements while holding the ctrl/sht/alt. And of course I have tried rebooting the computer.
Why is that not possible?
Did you try it? Give it a try and you'll see what comes up.
I know what comes up.
Elements with cleared preferences.
For Windows - C:\Users\userName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements\14.0\Styles
Delete the file created from this location and now you can find the text style.
And similarly you can do for Mac
SOLVED! Here's how on Windows 10:
- Control Panel>Programs and Features>Adobe Premiere Elements 14>Uninstall
- Also, go to your Documents folder (or where-ever you directed the install)>Adobe >Premiere Elements >14> "Style" folder and delete that folder.
- Download a fresh copy of Premiere and install it. The Style folder will repopulate with the missing material
The key is to delete the Style folder as well as uninstall the program. Even if you check "remove preferences" when you uninstall, Adobe maintains your folders. It's not a bug, it's a feature in an attempt to be helpful and keep your preferences.
