I am working on a report in InDesign and I am having problems with white lines appearing at certain points. They appear in InDesign and in the PDF and I haven't managed to figure out how to stop it.
Any suggestions are welcomed. I have tried exporting in a variety of formats and flattening the transparency but it does no good.I don't actually want any transparency so if there is a way to kill it completely that be great.
The big dark blue square highlights my problem. Normally my pages should have coloured backgrounds like the one opposite.
I think you may need to share a sample page that shows this problem. There is not enough information in your screen shot or description to give us a clue.
It looks like you have a Paragraph Rule turned on. You are not showing invisibles, but are there returns in the blue text box? I can see that they are lining up with the baseline on the bulleted list. Select them and choose Paragraph Rules from the Paragraph Panel.
Transparency artifacts from flattening wouldn't show in the ID file.
