It asked if I wanted to replace the catalog on the laptop with the mobile catalog and I said yes - then it did the exact opposite and wiped my LR mobile catalog!
The Prompt says if you switch a new catalog for syncing,All data currently being synced in Lightroom mobile will be wiped.
Lightroom only syncs and keep data of one catalog at a time.Which is exactly what happened.
Resync the data from Lightroom mobile to sync across that collection on your Desktop/Laptop.
Eh, it's not that clear !from that message. I thought the data on the LR mobile was local, not part of the synced library.
How do I get the data back and sync THAT data to all the other devices?
This makes no sense. How come when I first opened LR on my laptop, it didn't show me my files that were on the LR mobile. Why PROMPT me for anything?
The same thing just happened to me. I lost about 80 photos that I spent 8+ hours on. It's now 5 months since your debacle, and the prompt is still as confusing as it was. Lightroom should see that I have a mobile library and automatically sync it. At the very least merge libraries, so no one loses their work. I used Lightroom mobile to take RAW images on iPhone 7 Plus, now all the photos alhave been deleted.
