InDesign CS5.5 (i know - we're transitioning soon) MacOSX 10.10.5 Yosemite (02 Jun 2016)
We have deployed a startup script that creates a custom menu for our users.
Has scripts and also menu handlers to grey out menu items in certain circumstances.
Also deploys contextual version of the menu (e.g. so it appears when user right clicks in text/frame etc).
This script has worked without incident for over 6 months.
We recently added an additional item to the menu…
Now InDesign crashes on startup.
Even after restoring the previous version some machines still crash on startup
(suggesting some corruption of cache or preferences? - but deletion of these still not fixing some machines)
Can anyone help?
Is there some secret cache of event listeners we're not deleting with cache/prefs deletion?
Is there some secret limit on the number of event listeners you can create per menu?
Is there some secret limit on the number of event listeners you can create for user generated menus?
Anyone know how to test/count active event listeners / inactive event listeners / redundadant event listeners? !
