Eliminating YDB (Yucky Discolored Box) Syndrome
Eliminating the White Box Effect
Check, too, that you don't have the wrong transparency blend space selected.
Try to export to PDF. PDFs at a certain version level can handle transparency on their own. I very rarly print directly from InDesign.
i have blend space as CMYK, and was exporting PDFs Directly from ID, i did try all the PDF settings but none made any difference.
I read somewhere On the internet that Versaworks could except PS files, so I tried printing directly from in design, this worked for me.
I also exported a PDF from indesign and placed in to a new document then printed directly which again worked.
My thinking is that it's the Versawork RIP which is having the problem and not indesign..
Thanks for your suggestions
Do you see a correct picture in PDF?
If the PDF looks correct (in print preview!), then the RIP has a problem. "Print as image" from Acrobat may be a work around.
Is the blue set as a spot colour? If so, try using InDesign's Ink Manager to convert it to process.
