When to go from Lightroom to Photoshop

      Hello,

I have searched the forum and didn't quite find the exact answer, but I admit, I'm new here so sorry if this is old news.

So, I work on my photos in lightroom (to do the majority of editing) and occasionally in Photoshop (liquify and more nuanced and powerful healing and erasing of crap).

My question is: when if the best moment to go from Lightroom to Photoshop?  Option one: before i make any lightroom edits, go into photoshop and make those edits, then apply lightroom edits to the new tiff file?  Option two: after all Lightroom edits are totally complete, then send to Photoshop and edit (realizing that once I do go to Photoshop, I am no longer editing the RAW file, but now editing the Photoshop tiff file) Option three: anytime?

Are there other options that I'm not thinking of?

      Thanks

      Jerm
