Hi TKRAJ ,
Are you running the latest CC 2015.6 version of Photoshop?
What size is your catalog? Try optimizing it from File>>Optimize catalog.
Also did you tried un-checking "use graphics processor" under Preferences>>Performance?
Let us know if that helps.
I have a similar problem with this release (2015.6), although my Mac is quite a bit older (2010, 2.8 GHz i5, 1TB hard drive). My GPU is disabled and I optimized my catalog just prior to installing this release.
Anecdotally, I have experienced some incremental slow down of the program over the last few iterations of the product, and I just assumed it was my hardware falling behind the curve. But TKRAJ is reporting problems similar to mine with superior hardware. The latest slowdown I'm experiencing in the develop module is significant, especially noticeable in just moving the zoomed image around in the window.
Your mention of catalog size intrigues me, because I haven't heard of that as an issue in a long time. A lot of the Lightroom "experts" out there have been saying that keeping all of your files in one catalog is not a problem, regardless of size.Is catalog size now an issue?
Thanks for posting on Adobe forums.

No it is not,but you should optimize the catalog when facing performance issues.
