The vast majority of my work in InDesign requires that I have our company's brand colors loaded as swatches from which to pick for the various elements. I have made a .ase file containing only these colors. What I'd really like to do now is to include it in my default swatches so that every new document I create will already have them loaded, instead of having to load them separately.
Can this be done? If so, how do I go about doing this?
I use ID CS6 v8.0.2 on a Win7 sp1 machine.
Load them with no files open. All future files you create will have them.
Thanks Bob! I don't know why I never thought to try that. SMH...
Once your preference get reset, usually after a crash or manually to fix an InDesign issue they will be gone.
Once loaded, you can export them to an ASE file, which can be loaded again if you need them, or you can load them into Illustrator or Photoshop etc. with this same file.
