Check to see if LR cc 2015 is installed. Go to:
C\Pogram Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom
Double click on the application to launch.
Otherwise launch Creative Cloud and go to the Apps tab. If you see Lightroom CC 2015, click the install button.

I updated but it seems I have Lightroom version: 5.7.1 as shown below.
There is no such thing as DeHaze in Lightroom 5.7.1. You need to update the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom, and have version CC 2015.1 or later. If you have a 32bit operating system, you will be stuck at Lightroom 5.7.1 and there is no way to get DeHaze until you upgrade your operating system to 64bit.

I would just add that once you open LR (2015) from within CC, unpin the previous version (or delete icon/shortcut) and then pin the updated version to the taskbar to eliminate any confusion.
Hey Coach, Great game plan. I have CC, and was told my version of LR was current. Yet I had no current features. I checked and found LR 5.7 in my Apps folder. It was never over written/replaced when the new version downloaded, and the deck icon was still linked to it. I deleted the older version, and re-downloaded v.6. All is well in the world now. Great advice. Thanks
i have lightroom 6 on my MacBook Pro, but there is no dehaze slider. Why not, and how can I get it activated? I have read it is supposed to be in Effects, but it isn't there.
Dehaze is not a feature of any version of Lightroom 6. It is only available in Lightroom CC 2015.1 or later.
The official Adobe Dehaze is not in Lightroom 6 but you can get similar results with presets or plugins
The solution for me was to uninstall the current Lightroom CC installed on my computer. Then reinstall from the CC App installer. The Dehazer showed up.
I tried updating the old version over and over, but no dehazer ever showed up. Can't explain it. Only uninstalling and reinstalling through CC worked for me. It's a simple and quick fix.
When Adobe installs a new major release, for example LR 5.x to 6.x, it is a side-by-side install with the old version.
Often times the desktop icons do not get properly updated to point to the new version.
