I don’t know what I am missing or doing differently to create this issues. Sometimes when I do a motion tween I don’t get the dotted line and other times I do. I am using a MAC El Capitan. My first step is to se;eat the first frame and then I put another key frame at the end. After that I select the black arrow and select then select the image that I wish to use. After I have selected the motion tween I drag the image around. Sometimes I get sometimes, after the fact, the line, not necessarily as I drew it, will appear. What I mean by that is that it will occasionally,in this manner be straight instead of the curve that I drew.
Another thing that happens is that it will suddenly be in edit mode saying layer one instead of the mode that contains all of my working images.
Do you have any ideas?
It sounds like you are placing the objects into a tween after you create the tween. Normally I would first plant the objects on the timeline in the two keyframes (start and end) and then apply the tween. You say you select "the image"... unless things have changed with Animator, you need to select the button, graphic, or movieclip symbol... images are none of the above.
