I have a question about Folders. For example, I have a folder titled "Vacation". Inside the Vacation folder, I have three subfolders titled "Glacier", "Banff", and "Jasper". Most of the pictures fall into one of those three folders and are located there. However, there are several that don't fit any folder because they were other places we stopped along the way and are just in the top level Vacation folder. If I click on the Glacier folder, I see just the pictures taken at Glacier. However, if click on the Vacation folder, I see pictures from all three places, plus the extras. Here is my question, is there a way to have the Vacation folder only show me only the pictures that haven't moved to a subfolder?

As far as I know, that's not possible.
You could assign the files that don't fit in a keyword, like "other", and then filter by that keyword, or create a folder called Other.
And, I wouldn't recommend having a folder called "Vacation" inside a folder called "Vacation".
To avoid confusion, give all your folders unique names, at least don't name them the same as the parent folder.
In the Library menu, about halfway down, there is an option to "Show photos in subfolders". If you deselect that option then you will have the behavior you are looking for.
