    Read text in a image

      Hi.
      I want to make a program that can read text in a image.
      How can i do it?

          You'd need to upload it to a server and run some sort of OCR thing on it.

            I have a image with numbers in it and that to read the numbers in the image so i can use it in my program.

              You may be able to find an Actionscript OCR library, but I doubt it. You
              could try writing one yourself if you can't find one.

                I use captcha images myself, as does much of the "internet" as part of a site's security scheme. Usually, the characters displayed are distorted in one or more ways. If it is a captch image you seek to read, I'll bet that you have neither the time/money nor computer power to write your own OCR reader for them. Furthermore, I hope that you do not; for if you did, much of the internet could be adversely affected.
