Your update to LR 6.6 has nothing to do with the issue.
You are seeing 8 profiles because your current image is not a raw photo.
Select an NEF or DNG-from-NEF and you'll see the expected number of profiles.
the same here, but with FUJI lenses.
I imported FUJI RAW files and I want to work with the lens correction like I always did.
My lens XF 18-135 is not there any more.
...But, why did LR correcly work with my lenses (XF23mm, XF18-135mm) until the last update?
It worked fine the last two years. And now, it tells me, it doesn´t know the lenses any more.
And please do not refer to this list, there is no interchangeable fuji lens listed, which is totally impossible.
I'd also seen similar problems with lens profiles too, using Nikon D5100 with 18-135 and 55-300 lenses. Both of which I've seen randomly not get recognised by LR6.6. I only shoot Raw.
I found that switching from Auto to Custom and back again usually kicked it into life and it would apply the correct profile. Even having it set in an adjustment preset wouldn't always work either.
There's definitely a few issues with LR6.6, perhaps due to the recoding done for the new adjustment panels layout.
I've now switched back to LR6.5.1.
Uncheck "Enable Profile Corrections"
The profile corrections for those lens are most likely contained within the RAW file itself and are automatically applied.
(unless you ask Lightroom to try finding another profile by enabling the profile corrections)
And the built-in corrections are always applied, the only thing undoing Enable Profile Corrections does is allow the message about there being built-in profiles to be displayed instead of the message that there are no lens profiles found, which is specific to external lens profile files that aren't needed in this case because the lens profiles are built-in.
I have the same problem ...
for example inside last file with many, many photos when I swich to: Library - Metadata - 0 data about lens
(I am not missing most Nikon lens profiles but all lens profiles)
90% nikon lenses and only nikon body
now I have LR 6.6
please anybody know how can I solve this my problem??
(but when I check folder about 3 months old, everything is ok )
I had that too where the EXIF data was lost for some images - in my case it happened with a bunch of Olympus Raw files.
I found that using a Metadata/Read Metadata From File option (Metadata menu, or contextual menu) found the missing info again.
However, I also found that switching to 6.5.1 and sticking with it has fixed all issues I was having with lens profile recognition.
thanks Andy! I tried
"Metadata/Read Metadata From File option"
but in my case doesn't work
but interesting is that last two files (or imports) everything is ok I hope next two files will be the same ;-)
please anybody know how can I "import" metadata in previous files ... ?
