It is possible to name the collection where the saved print job is to be located. I don't understand what more you are asking for. You can specify as many different collections as you think are necessary.
"Create a Saved Print" is the only way to save the Photo+Template together.
1. Create a Collection SET to contain all the 'saved' prints in the Collections Panel. This 'Set' can be collapsed to minimize in the Collections Panel
2. A 'Saved Print' collection can hold more that one photo. So you can have multiple photos in the one collection all using the same template.
3. If you name a 'Saved Print' collection with a name that indicates the template used, then it becomes easier to click the Print Collection and see the photos in Grid view that all use the same template.
Thank you for the response. My intent is to be able to recreate a print with all of the Printer Settings, Print Module settings, as well as the layout, at some later date. I have not found anything that specifically says that is what Saved Print can do. I often use odd sizes and find it necessary to tweak settings in the print module to see the print as I want it. Encapsulating all of that and finding it conveniently whenever I want to is what I am looking for. Does Saved Print do that? Can you use a smart collection, collection Set, so that a tag of some kind for the Saved Print could automatically be saved to the smart collection set? Like using Keywords and other attributes for filtered searches?
I do see the value in the saved sizing and layout templates for commonly used layout styles but I tend to be more unique with each photo.
Thanks again for your help.
My advice: Just try a couple of "Saved Prints". Then test if they do what you require.
Collections can be deleted, so if your 'test' collections don't work for you- you can delete.
(Note: To reopen a Print in the Print module from a saved print collection, you click on the white arrow that appears at the far end of the Collection name. Just Clicking on the collection name only opens the images in Grid view! )
