If you would be so kind, try turning off the GPU acceleration. Go to Preferences, click on the Performance Tab, and then uncheck the box.
If that doesn't help, please describe the problem in a lot more detail, including your complete hardware specs, and what operating system you are using. And leave all of the rest of your venting out of the description.
In this post, I forgot to mention that it happens with and without GPU acceleration selected. I can't say which is worse!
In detail, Lightroom is considerably slow. When making adjustments, moving between photos, cropping, literally everything. I have been using Lightroom for sometime now and I am not just "venting" for the sake of it. I am sure you can appreciate that when something doesn't work, it can be frustrating so pardon my human manner.

Going to try that now! Thank you heaps for your suggestion. Would let you know how it goes ;-)
Try minimising Lightroom for about 5 seconds then restoring - that might do it. At the same time watch the memory usage on Task Manager. It is probably quite high when it's slow and then when you minimise LR the memory usage drops after a few seconds. Looks like some kind of a memory leakage issue. Quite repeatable for me..
AMEN! As a photographer, I depend on having the latest software actually be usable. I'm so tired of paying for Creative Cloud and having to use an older version of Lightroom because this issues STILL isn't fixed, even in the latest update.
