Could you please check and confirm if you are using Lightroom 6.6/ 2015.6?
Also were the prints showing fine prior to the update, please check the page setup once and check for the correct paper type.
Hi Tanuj, yes it' s LR 2015/6 and paper Site and Media Type are correct.
I I printed the same images with the former version and rhey were perfecr.
Reset your preference file by: closing Lightroom, hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] and relaunching Lightroom. Overwrite the preference file when prompted.
If that doesn't restore your print, can you tell me if you are using an templates?
It's a little better, colors are correct, but it looks like the printer does not use matt black. As I said earlier, printed with Capture One, the prints are perfect, deep black and contrasty.
I was experimenting. I changed the ColorSync standard profile to the profile of my paper, which is the same I use in soft-proofing and in the print module. Now everything is correct. I wonder if in the new version of LR CC 2015/6 there is something changed the way LR works with ColorSync.
I am seeing the same thing when printing to Canon iPF8400 from 10.11.5.
Reset preferences, no change.
Printed without using a template, no change.
Open up version 2015.5.1 from a backup partition. Created a new catalog imported test image printed with the same setting and it printed correctly.
Closed 2015.5.1, open 2015.6, opened new catalog I just created in 2015.5.1and printed from 2015.6 with the same exact printer setting again. Print is NOT correct. What a screw-up in 2015.6 something is bad wrong.
Same setting printing from PS printed correctly.
Created new catalog in 2015.6 same printing problem.
Tried selecting Fast Graphic Process in the driver which uses Canon's rendering/rasterizing engine instead of Apple’s and it printed correctly, but you can’t do 16-bit printing with FGP selected. That would lead me to believe it is an Lightroom to Apple print pipeline issue, and would probably show up in other printer brands unless they are use their own pipeline.
It's not a Canon-Printer or Mac problem. It's the same on an Office Colour Laser using Windows 7. I tested this a few minutes ago.
