I can't imagine I'm the only person to run into this issue when exporting a multi-chapter book as spreads.
Export all chapters from the book palette > Export book to PDF...
Run through the screens, and select the [ ] Spreads checkbox.
The entire book exports to PDF, but when one pages through the PDF, the verso that ends a chapter, and the recto that begins the next are not married as a spread.
This is confusing to clients, and disrupts the flow of spreads if one wanted to use the PDF as a final digital publication.
Is there a solution to this? It seems like such a fundamental issue.
Full-disclosure: I'm using InDesign CS5. . .
