I have the same problem. I just leave it open for a few hours and RAM usage will be 97% without doing anything. I'm running the latest version on CC. Did you find a solution?
Could you please verify if Lightroom is generating previews or mapping Faces in Lightroom?
Look at this article Optimize Lightroom performance and follow the steps mentioned.
Let us know if that helps.
I read through the article and already do most of those things.
When I went to check my preview cache it says it is 16GB. Does that sit in RAM or on my HDD? When I import, I do standard previews.
Where do I go to check with it is mapping faces in LR?
I used to run LR5 (using the same catalog) before I switched to CC and never had this problem. Thanks for your help.
I disabled face recognition and restarted LR. I left it open overnight and I'm still at 99% memory usage by the morning.
Any other ideas?
Did you update to LR 6.9? The screenshot mentions 6.6. Several major memory leaks were fixed in between.
Not yet! Will give that a try.
