I have a Lenovo y50-70 laptop, which has a built-in 4k display. All the things look great on it, but as there is no easy way of changing the image resolution size in develop module, it feels all sluggish and choppy. I have tried different solutions to it, but nothing seems to improved my experience a lot. Is there any way to force the image size not to be in such high res? Changing my display resolution is out of the question, as the interpolation makes everything smudgy and unable to work on, but the smoothness of it all skyrockets immediately.
I use Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M card, have 8 GB of RAM.
Have you turned on the GPU acceleration?? Go to preferences, click on the Performance tab, then check the box.
Also, please be specific, exactly what actions are sluggish and choppy?
I have my GPU acceleration turned on, I tried turning it off, but it didn't improve the performance.
By sluggish, I mean that whenever I try to zoom the picture in, change the sliders on the right, make an adjustment with the brush, I have to wait a couple of seconds before I see the result. It is a big discomfort, especially that I tried it on an external 1080p monitor and everything worked way smoother.
