I am at the part of the "Build and Style a Web Page in Dreamweaver" and just got through with the part about adding the menu bar. I know there has to be certain breakpoints planned for smaller devices such as the iPhone 5, but when I tried resizing the browser window, it showed up like this instead of with the sandwich menu bar like it was supposed to (plus I'm wondering if this tutorial is still current):
What the menu bar appears like after I shrink down the browser window (and from a live iPhone 5 preview):
See? No sandwich menu icon, no search bar no anything...
What the original menu bar looks like (fine when I shrink it down to about the minimum width of 768 but no less):
It's a bummer because this seemd easy so far. I'm trying to decide between this and Muse to learn to make responsive sites with. I would prefer Dreamweaver because I am studying code. And because it would help me make sites better from scratch I think than Muse.
Thanks for your reply. I will try this, and if I have no other comments to make, just assume your advice worked. If it doesn't work, I will have to contact you again. At least (for now) it probably is not something I did wrong.
Hi there, I'm having the same problem with my lead image in the header? is there a way to put this image onto a black filled background so it centers when enlarged to a full screen? It's shrinking quite elegantly but stuck on left justified on a large monitor?
