I wanted to downgrade from Lightroom 6.6 standalone to 6.5, so I uninstalled 6.6 and installed 6.0
I now cannot install the 6.5 update because I don't have
an Adobe application installer. How did I manage to install 6.0?
All the installers are for Creative Cloud, which I don't want on my computer.
I do remember that when I updated to 6.6 the update for the Application installer failed.
Adobe does not makes things easy!
The installer is the same for both Creative Cloud and standalone, the words may say Creative Cloud but you will wind up with the standalone Lightroom 6.X software when you apply your serial number. There is only one installer file.
Go to Keeping Lightroom Up-to-Date and download the application installer and the update Lightroom 6.5.1 installer file.
Thanks for your reply.
I downloaded the app and as you say it installs for the standalone.
It seems there was an install problem and suggested I download an Adobe installs advisor, which does not exist.
Anyway I just had a go anyway and 6.5 updated.
