    Using only Lightroom

    Marian Slagman

I am looking for a way to only pay for Lightroom. Does anyone know how that would work?

I've had a Creative Cloud license for almost a year. Somewhere during this year, Photoshop was upgraded and is no longer compatible with the drivers on my laptop. I've tried upgrading the drivers, which results in the laptop screen losing 95% of the light, making it un-usable. The only fix is upgrading my laptop, which isn't going to happen.

Hi Marian, I think you are on the cheapest plan e.g. a single app plan is more expensive than the Photography Plan. You still get the benefit of LR Mobile & Web, if required. In any case, Lightroom is not available as a single app to purchase for just one month as needed.

You could purchase the stand-alone ( non CC ) version of LR6 but you would lose access to the added features. New features are only available to Creative Cloud subscribers. LR6 users only get camera raw updates and bug fixes.

Features found in LR CC and not in LR6

LR Mobile sync (other than trial)

          LR Web

          Dehaze tool

          Boundary warp tool

          Guided Upright

Selective adjustments with dehaze, whites & blacks
