I have the Lightroom won't start issue and it's now starting to drive me nuts.
I installed Windows 10 as a clean installation i.e. removing all software and reinstall it afterwards
I have installed Creative Cloud and Lightroom. Lightroom initially started with the 'unexpected error' message as my catalogs were still in place.
Nothing would clear that issue
Eventually I uninstalled removing all preferences and reinstalled.
I have Installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012, I have logged in logged out rebooted and every suggestion found online.
I cannot rename preferences files as this installation has never started so there hasn't been one created.
The Lightroom directory has not yet been created in pictures.
Windows 10 seems fine in all other ways.
Upon trying to start it, nothing happens at all... via Icon, via Start menu, via Creative Cloud.
edit; Lightroom does flash up for a second in the Background Processes list in Task manager.
Has anyone got any suggestions, I desperately need to do some work...............
What version of Lightroom are you trying to run? I'm using Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, very basic computer. Lightroom CC2015 is running without problems.
The very latest downloaded from Adobe yesterday.... Version number I don't know, cant open it to find out... :-)
