Did you try the suggestion in this thread: Stop the Internal Error Message in Fireworks CS4 or CS3 -

swf_newguy Jun 16, 2009 8:48 AM (in response to ac361)I'm having some of the same issues with Fireworks on the PC.
I am having the lovely internal error message as well as the program bombing on me.
I am running 4 gigs of Ram and have a 2 gig processor.
The program should not bomb on PNG files that aren't that big.
I have reinstalled the software and am having mroe issues now.
I can NOT save.
I can't even save-as.
I'm doubtful that the font is an issue. I am using two fonts on this png: arial and frutiger.
On Studio 8 and CS3 I have never had a problem with the fonts.
Why now?

btw - that link is busted.
Do you have a solution?
Its probably the bloody PC and not the Adobe product.... but I have had to re-install DW once already too.(The App menu structure showed up all as XML pathways every time it started up and never fixed itself.)

Hmm. So it is. http://forums.adobe.com/message/2015220 (I searched Google for the exact thread title and it was right there.)
