All Adobe products are tested and threat free safe apps. there is no doubt in it.
I suggest you uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud and Photoshop or all Adobe apps installed on you comp.
use Adobe Cleaner tool and clean all.
once clean ,make sure AVG security definitions are up to date to latest version ,then run Full AVG System scan.
Check whether any threat is detected . if not. Install Adobe Creative Cloud app again and then install Photoshop and check.

If still , Virus issue persists , install any other internet security suites like Bit defender / Norton /Mcafee / Kaspersky...etc anyone as free trial .
Then update it first and then run full system scan and check.
Along with that , you may also try running Anti-malware apps like for example Malwarebytes.

i have the same problem. before installing i made sure that my AVG was up to date. it really bothers me that adobe releases a problematic update and then blames users for the problem. the solution i want is how to revert to the previous version while adobe corrects this problem and issues a new update. can you please help me with that, Brucgovn? thanks.

thanks for the update, tim. i shut down all running apps and did a hard restart. as of now, pscc2015.5 is running okay. it's the only adobe app running, aside from adobe ipc broker and six instances of adobe cep html engine. will open other apps and see if anything fails, and will advise results on this thread.
